This exercise consisted of at least three semi-blind contour drawings to start with where I was allowed to sporadically look at the paper while I was drawing and four blind contour drawings minimum to finish the task. These were all rapid sketches where I used household items that were near me as a subject as well as a car that was parked outside my living room window and some personal pictures I had in my computer.

Exercise 2.3 - Blind Contour Drawing
The aim of this task was to draw a subject without looking at the paper. It was a technique I’ve heard of but never really attempted, I knew that this exercise would be beneficial to the hand-eye coordination whilst at the same time forces you to really look at your subject uninterruptedly.

For this exercise I didn’t expect to produce a masterpiece, I looked at it more like an exercise to strenghten the eye-hand connection which is highly beneficial in drawing. I quite enjoyed the energy captured in some of these drawings, where it looks like an upgrade from exercise 2.0 (rapid sketches) which are quite similar in their essence.
